Underground Mine Communications Infrastructure Guidelines Part I: Positioning and Needs Analysis
The five parts within the Underground Mine Communications Infrastructure Guidelines series are arranged so the user learns a fundamental concept and then builds on their knowledge in each consecutive part. The following is a brief description of each part of the series.
Part I (this document) provides a general overview of the guideline objectives, audience, and mine communications maturity lifecycle diagram. This diagram provides a high-level overview of the services and supporting technology that is generally used in each phase of the mine lifecycle. The diagram initially depicts business services and communications technology on the surface in the exploration phases and then shifts to the underground environment as the site develops.
