Call for Autonomous Mining Guideline Volunteers

The Autonomous Mining Working Group is looking for volunteers to participate in the development of its pending guideline. Currently, the work is divided between three sub-groups whose objectives are: narrowing the scope of the guideline work to two types of mobile equipment (surface haul trucks and underground LHDs), creating a definition and common terminology for autonomous mining, and developing the full scope of work required for the guideline. The groups will be meeting at a workshop in Montreal during CIM 17 on May 3.
