With technological ecosystems rapidly changing and companies needing to adapt and manage those changes, the industry would benefit from guidance on implementing AI.
Our aim with the Implementation of AI in Mining guideline project is to leverage lessons learned and case study examples from experience applying AI in mining to develop an implementation guideline and develop a framework for the industry so that organizations can develop a strong business and technological foundation for scalable and successful AI applications.
Additionally, there has been a wide variety of approaches when it comes to the implementation of AI depending on several factors such as the context, maturity and size of the organization. Therefore, the project will aim to explore different tools, approaches and infrastructure models, along with a guiding foundation of the adoption process. Join GMG’s Artificial Intelligence Working Group in a workshop on Implementation of AI project.
GMG is recruiting volunteers willing and able to contribute time and expertise to helping develop a guideline that will benefit the global mining industry. Over the coming months the guideline will be drafted through contribution and collaboration of peers around the globe. The project is relaunching with virtual workshops in the coming weeks to:
Workshops are scheduled for: May 5 and 26.
Following these relaunch workshops, online collaboration will continue to enable the development of the guideline, including the next virtual workshop scheduled for June 16.
