Calling on experts!
GMG’s Autonomous Mining Working Group is having a project workshop on Implementation of Autonomous Mining v2. We’re recruiting volunteers willing and able to contribute expertise to helping develop the next version of the guideline.
The guideline was first published in 2019 to communicate and educate based on current industry practices and common terms of reference and provide guidance on justifying, planning, developing, testing, implementing, and executing autonomous systems. Version 2 is under development to update the content to reflect the rapidly changing landscape around autonomous technologies. Learn more about the project here.
Over the coming months the guideline will be drafted through contribution and collaboration of peers around the globe. The project has kicked off with virtual workshops to:
Following these launch workshops, online collaboration will continue to enable the development of the guideline, including the next virtual workshops scheduled for June 2 and June 24.
