The Global Mining Guidelines Group will host a morning half-day workshop in Tucson, USA to drive alignment on interoperability and outline a path forward, with a particular focus on the OEM perspective from 9:00-12:00.
Background
We recently published a report on interoperability alignment among mining companies. It identified key principles, priorities, and forms of commitment for interoperability. Mining company alignment was an important first step because a clear, unified voice from them provides the input suppliers need to adapt and develop new tools and processes effectively.
Now it is time to seek input and ensure alignment with other stakeholder groups. This workshop will tap into the strong presence of OEMs in and around Tucson and the presence of industry leaders already there for our Leadership Summit. It will be an opportunity to dig deeper and ensure OEM requirements and needs are part of the strategy for moving forward with interoperability.
