Based on industry outreach, a top priority for the AMWG was identified as developing a framework and an implementation roadmap for asset management that is appropriate for a mobile mining context.
About the workshop:
The purpose of this workshop is to begin the brainstorming and definition of the project. The initial collaboration will focus on developing a vision and objectives for the framework.

Vale Asset Management Portfolio

The presentation brings the vision of the entire portfolio of Asset Management for Maintenance solutions in Vale.
This set of solutions supports the set of processes mapped through normative acts (PNRs), mapped in Vale´s global policy of processes expressed in the VPS.
It is the result of a journey that began in 2012, with the integration of processes, people and technology, with the aim of achieving greater maturity in accordance with the levels described in ISO 55.000.
It always undergoes annual review, always looking for digital transformation so that we understand it´s Maintenance 4.0, a stage where we have a safe place for maintenance work, optimized in its processes and routines, with a predictive and prescriptive maintenance, more analytical, with integration to all productive cycle, from the mine to the port.
About Ely: Ely Barbosa has over thirty years of experience in the IT industry leading teams in system development and design to achieve outstanding results in sales and margins. Mr. Barbosa has managed projects that have been quoted as best cases in a book published in Brazil covering B2B business. He has extensive knowledge of system development and implementation around the world including Mexico, Germany, Canada, Mozambique, Indonesia, China, South Korea, Australia, U.S and Israel, and has worked with multinational corporations across a variety of sectors including and at least at one global mining company. Mr Barbosa presents a practical understanding of the life cycle of systems development and how it integrates with the life cycle of project management.
He understands and upholds the principles of governance, risk management and controls for all programs, articulating the company´s vision and strategy and is able to translate into actions and results for the business , involving stakeholders to ensure buy-in for business affairs.
At Vale he is in charge of solutions design for Finance, Procurement, Asset Management and Capex Projects
