GMG Appoints Andrew Scott as Interim CEO

Quebec, February 12, 2026 – Global Mining Guidelines Group (GMG) is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Scott as Interim Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026.

Andrew has been actively involved with GMG since its inception and brings deep experience within the global mining community. His longstanding commitment to collaboration and industry advancement, combined with his strong understanding of GMG’s mission and operations, positions him well to lead the organization during this transition period.

GMG’s mission is to enable the global mining industry to improve performance through the adoption of guidelines and best practices. Andrew will provide leadership and operational continuity as GMG advances its strategic priorities for 2026, including its global program of forums, collaborative projects, and member engagement initiatives.

The Board of Directors also wishes to recognize Tim Skinner, who continues to support GMG in a part-time advisory capacity. Tim’s knowledge, leadership, and dedication have been invaluable to the organization, and GMG is pleased to maintain his ongoing involvement.

As part of its governance responsibilities, the Board will initiate a search for a permanent CEO in the coming months. Throughout this process, ensuring stability, continuity, and sustained value delivery to members remains a top priority.
