GMG Opens Nominations for Board of Directors

Global Mining Guidelines Group is now accepting nominations for three open positions (2 Directors, 1 Vice Chair) on its Board of Directors. This call for nominations invites leaders from GMG Corporate Member companies to contribute at a governance and strategic oversight level to a global, industry-led organization advancing the mining sector through practical, outcomes-focused work.

GMG is a member-driven, non-profit organization that supports industry advancement by enabling alignment across the mining ecosystem and developing globally relevant guidelines, white papers, frameworks, and tools. The Board of Directors plays an essential role in providing governance, fiduciary oversight, and strategic perspective to ensure GMG remains focused on its mandate, responsive to member needs, and positioned for long-term impact.

Board service offers an opportunity to apply senior-level experience in support of an organization that brings together mining companies, technology providers, researchers, and practitioners from around the world. Board members contribute independent insight and stewardship that help GMG maintain credibility, relevance, and value for its global membership.

Nominees should bring demonstrated leadership experience and strategic perspective, with backgrounds in areas such as mining, business strategy, finance, legal and governance, ESG and sustainability, innovation, or organizational leadership. GMG values diversity of experience, geography, and perspective, and seeks candidates who are prepared to contribute thoughtfully at the board level.

Board positions are open to representatives of GMG Corporate Member companies only. Organizations that are not currently members but are interested in participating in GMG or putting forward a nomination are encouraged to contact GMG to discuss membership opportunities.
