Workshop | An Approach to Energy Management at the Mine Site
Published: January 28,2025The mining industry faces increasing pressure to optimize energy use, reduce costs, and advance decarbonization, but many operations lack the awareness, expertise, or resources to take full advantage of energy management opportunities.
That’s why GMG is launching An Approach to Energy Management at the Mine Site, a project focused on energy management and decarbonization, and we want your input! Join us for an interactive workshop where you can help shape the direction of this important initiative.
Key Project Objectives:
- Defining a methodology to incorporate energy management and decarbonization into projects and providing case studies
- Defining key terms and their differences
- Enhancing the reader’s knowledge of data and energy management measures that could be implemented at mine sites
- Identifying KPIs for assessing energy performance of common mining and mineral processing activities and data needed for them
- Providing examples of energy management (i.e. use cases)
- Creating or nurturing an energy management culture within an organization
This is your chance to influence the paper from the ground up and support the development of a resource that will help mine sites optimize energy performance and decarbonization efforts. Help shape the future of energy management in mining!
