Webinar | Introduction to Zero Entry Mining

Published: December 17,2024

In order to accomodate the greatest number of participants, we’re hosting two webinars on February 25, 2025. Choose the one that works best with your schedule or time zone.

The Autonomous Mining Working Group is finalizing a draft of its Introduction to Zero Entry Mining and entering the review stage on the project timeline. At this webinar, hear project highlights and key concepts as the project leads walk through the paper.

Also learn how to get involved as the team lays the groundwork for a thought-provoking series of nine discussion papers which will drill down further into topics such as mine design, economics, legalities, and more.

The discussion papers are intended to stimulate discussion among the mining community. Join us on the road to zero entry!

Background

Introduction to Zero Entry Mining will provide a strategic vision with a strong focus on the value, and enablers of zero entry mining. This will include highlighting where the industry could be, the roadmap of enablers and requirements to get to that point, and the potential gaps moving forward.

This paper is also intended to provide the value case that can be used to support investment decisions.

Although zero entry can have different meanings, in the context of this paper and for its intended purpose, it is defined as an area in the mine site that does not have personnel in the designated area where mobile mining equipment is operating.
