Different energy requirements across the mine site can influence overall productivity and efficiency. To address this challenge, the Holistic Energy Management guideline will take a holistic approach and consider the different aspects of the mine to identify energy management strategies. Key considerations under discussion to help determine the scope of the guideline include:
- Focus of the document is implementation and categorization of different activities, end uses, or systems to help envision how to achieve net-zero
- The guideline should balance from the supply-and-demand side on green electricity and energy
- The framework should include a structure of considerations to include in an energy management plan
This project will have many components, and further discussions are needed to help determine the scope of this guideline to guide the industry toward improved energy management and decarbonization.
