Leadership Summit Tours
Published: July 10,2025TOUR 1: Côté Gold Mine Site - Iamgold (September 22)
Limited to 20 guests
Technology is in Côté’s foundations. It underpins not only the efficiency, precision, and consistency of our operations, but the safety of our people and the protection of our environment and communities.
The Côté Gold deposit is being mined via open pit using a fleet of 23 autonomous haul trucks (CAT 793F), two electric shovels (CAT 6060), three front-end loaders (CAT 994), six autonomous drills (Epiroc Pit Viper 231), and other high tech supporting equipment.
The advantages of their autonomous operations include:
- higher equipment productivity and consistency
- better positioning for truck/shovel interactions
- reduced truck maintenance due to continuous operations within equipment specifications
- reduced manpower, resulting in reduced camp size and accommodation costs

TOUR 2: Odyssey Mine - Agnico Eagle (September 22)
Full-Day Experience | Limited to 8 Guests
Step into the future of mining with an exclusive behind-the-scenes visit to Agnico Eagle’s Odyssey Mine – one of Canada’s largest and most advanced underground projects, currently under development near Val-d’Or, in the city of Malartic.
Guests will travel to Malartic, QC for a half-day onsite experience that includes ramp-access to observe Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) in operation, a visit to the maintenance facilities, and direct discussions with the technology and operations teams. Odyssey is being designed from the ground up to integrate electrification, LTE connectivity, worker tracking, on-demand ventilation, and other innovative systems that will enable safer, more efficient mining.
Note: Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the site. If you would like to coordinate transport with other tour participants, let us know and we can connect you.
PPE provided.
Agenda (subject to change)
Morning: Travel to Odyssey near Malartic
Late Morning–Early Afternoon (Half‑Day onsite):
- Take part in an underground ramp-access visit to explore active workings
- View BEVs in operation
- Maintenance facilities visit: Tour the service areas (onsite) to understand how equipment is maintained in modern mining
- Meet the teams: Engage with technology and operations leaders to learn about electrification, automation, digital innovation, ventilation strategies, and mine development
- Interactive discussion: Hear about the ramp-and-shaft development plan, deployment of new tech in real-time, and operational timelines
Late Afternoon: Travel to Sudbury
TOUR 3: SNOLAB, Creighton Mine - Vale (September 22)
Half-Day Experience | Limited to 12 Guests
SNOLAB is Canada’s deep underground science laboratory located 2km underground in Vale’s Creighton Mine. It is the deepest, cleanest underground facility of its kind in the world and known for its astroparticle physics. Snolab also serves as a mounting base for the three-dimensional seismic monitoring system called Pups (Polaris Underground Project at Snolab), which provides detailed information about seismic activity to the mining industry. This geotechnical information, for example, help us to plan deep mine excavations.
Visitors will be required to arrive onsite at 6:20am at Vale Creighton Mine and will be ready to depart site by approximately 12:30pm. Since this facility is a clean lab all visitors must take a full shower including a hair wash. SNOLAB will provide all personal protective equipment needed for safe travel through the mine and everything needed to enter their laboratory. This tour requires physical fitness as visitors must be able to walk through the mine, throughout the lab and ascend/descend stairs.
Note: Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from the site. If you would like to coordinate transport with other tour participants, let us know and we can connect you.
PPE provided.
