In-Person Workshop: Human Factors in the Autonomous Mine

Published: September 27,2024

As the mining industry advances toward autonomy, so too must the understanding of the human factors involved. Tap into the expertise of Robin Burgess-Limerick, Professor of Human Factors, Minerals Industry Safety and Health Centre at the University of Queensland, and share your thoughts and experience at this open and interactive discussion on the human factors considerations and human-systems interaction when implementing autonomous mining, making them an integral part of the design process. This workshop will aim to build a case for ensuring human-led design and identifying priorities going forward. This is an opportunity to learn from an expert in his field and contribute to GMG’s work on zero entry mining.
