Autonomous Mining – Underground | Sudbury Workshop Series

To achieve autonomy in an underground mine environment there is a long list of challenges to overcome – from mixed fleet, people working in autonomous areas, and optimized data sharing to scalability, interoperability, and mine design and beyond.

Picture it: a singular integrated and interoperable system exists that encompasses all aspects of an operation – data, communications, fleet management, and equipment. If the agreement is that this is the future we’re aiming for, what does it take to get there?

Together we will identify and hone in on the challenges, and define a work plan that addresses what we need to do to get to autonomy underground.
