Cody Ryckman, Creativity and Innovation Lead for Stantec’s mining business line, is a committed leader with field, technical, and management experience in mining, oil and gas, and civil earthwork projects. He also fulfills the role of Manager of Operations Support for Stantec’s Western Canada Mining group, where he leads an integrated team of project managers who safely execute complex geotechnical surveillance, drilling, and automation and telemetry projects, support risk management systems during active mining operations, and achieve operational and regulatory compliance objectives.

He aims to foster a culture of ideation amongst his colleagues and industry peers in developing innovative business opportunities and implementing new and exciting technologies which support evolving environmental, social and corporate governance objectives and net-zero commitments. Throughout his career, he has maintained an active commitment to achieving incident-free field project execution and passionately strives to advance the professional and personal growth of technicians, technologists, and professionals within the mining industry. Cody is a British Columbia Institute of Technology graduate with a diploma in Mining and Mineral Exploration and is a registered member of The Association of Science and Engineering Technology Professionals of Alberta.
