After 35 years in sales, the last 15 as Sales Manager for Exhibitions & Sponsorship at the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum (CIM), Martin finished his final chapter, retired his Mont Blanc, mothballed his necktie collection and said farewell to Canada’s mining & construction industries.
That was the summer of ’22.
Six months later, GMG offered him an opportunity to expand his impact globally, so he picked up his Mont Blanc and began writing a new chapter, with a familiar theme. His experience, contacts and ease of communication are perfectly suited for this newly created position in Community Development.
When time allows and, it usually does, Martin is a practicing Mixologist, a dog-walking machine and a devourer of novels with actual paper pages. The bucket list will have to wait a while longer however, Martin is certainly looking forward to expanding his ‘business’ friendships, globally. Look for him at an event near you!
