Santiago Burgada

Santiago Burgada is currently Head of Marketing at Orica Latam, the world’s largest provider of commercial explosives and innovative blasting solutions.

Santiago received a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Polytechnic University of Madrid and has undergone an International Executive Program at CIM, Corporate International Master with triple degree as Executive Master’s in International Business (Georgetown-Washington), Corporate and Executive Master of Business Administration (Esade-Madrid and FGV- Rio de Janeiro).

He is an experienced international executive, with different roles in the explosives industry with hands-on experience in the commercial, operations, technical and marketing areas, and lived in Australia, Spain, Ghana, Brazil, and Chile.

Santiago´s career in the explosives industry spans some 20 years. As Head of Marketing for the region is responsible, among others, for product management, new technology introduction, portfolio management and rationalisation, support sales and customer processes, and very importantly listening to customer needs to assist in the definition and implementation of Orica´s technology offer and value-added propositions.

Santiago is Spanish, married and has two children.
