Workshop | Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy

Published: January 07,2025

A fundamental principle of geometallurgy is to test a large number of samples and to relate metallurgical response to ore properties. The large number of samples and tests typically results in large datasets that contain valuable data.

The objective of the Guideline for Common Data Reporting in Geometallurgy project is to develop data reporting guidelines, including user guides for common geometallurgical and mineralogical tests, as a key enabler for efficient consumption of data. The guidelines are intended to include terminology, representation, suggested format, definition, structuring, and tagging. The expectation is to develop reporting guidelines to cover the most common comminution, flotation, leaching, mineralogy, and hyperspectral analysis forms of data.

Join us for an engaging and interactive workshop where Stewart Brand, project lead, will discuss this vision, present the proposed table of contents, and walk participants through an example of breaking a test into its individual components.

This is your chance to get hands-on! Work collaboratively in small groups and contribute by drafting individual tests for the guideline, directly shaping its development.

In addition, Steve Mundell, Director of Product at acQuire Technology Solutions, will deliver an insightful presentation on data transfer schemas, shedding light on how tables are structured and interconnected to power database functionality.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, collaborate, and make a meaningful impact.
